Ex-U.S. Attorney Brownlee Joins Holland & Knight
By Andrew Ramonas | August 5, 2009 4:11 pm

Holland & Knight hired former U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Virginia John Brownlee, according to a news release from the D.C. area law firm.

Brownlee will be a partner in Holland & Knight’s enforcement defense and government practices. But a law firm job was not his first choice.

We previously reported that the former Bush official campaigned to be the Republican nominee for Virginia attorney general after he left the U.S. Attorney’s office in April 2008. State Sen. Ken Cuccinelli ended up getting the nod in May.
