Eric Holder keeps it legal, even while dining. (DOJ)

Even while dining, Attorney General Eric Holder likes to keep things legal.

According to Politics Daily’s Emily Miller, the AG spent his day off Wednesday eating lunch at Legal Seafood in Virginia with his daughter and three FBI agents.

Holder was dressed casually — maybe he was off for Veterans Day?

Holder and his daughter ordered crab soup, grilled chicken salad and, for dessert, chocolate pudding cake.

The restaurant is inside the upscale shopping mall Tysons Galleria II.

It is unclear whether Holder was eating with his daughter Maya, 15… or Brooke, 13 (who attends the private Georgetown Day School) or why the D.C. resident was in Virginia for lunch.

Main Justice called up the local chain of the restaurant, they referred us to the corporate office.

Aruna Viswanatha contributed to this story.

"I don't know how else to get the attention of the nation's top law enforcement official. Either comply with the subpoena or cite the legal privilege that you say keeps you from complying. Until you've done one of of those -- and he hasn't done either -- then, yes, I would proceed with contempt." -- Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) talking about a proposed contempt of Congress citation for Eric Holder.
