A senior Drug Enforcement Administration agent was shot several times and injured on Sunday while serving in Afghanistan, Ticklethewire.com reported this afternoon.
The agent, whom the Web site did not identify, citing security concerns, is reportedly being treated for his injuries in Germany. His condition was not immediately available, according to Ticklethewire.com.
The man was leading a DEA FAST Team (Foreign-deployed Advisory and Support Team) in Marjeh, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, when he was shot in the hand and thigh, according to Ticklethewire.com.
The DEA, which is a Justice Department component, declined to comment to Ticklethewire.com.
Last October, three DEA agents were killed when their helicopter was shot down in Afghanistan. Two of the men killed also were members of the DEA FAST Team.

Things were alot better working undercover in NY. Let’s go back to what DEA was meant to do. Stop pushers in the States. Just spray the fields with DIESEL fuel. Then napalm the fields. No need to get agents killed in a losing battle. Afgan an’t worth it. Tony
