Holder Oversight Hearing Postponed, Rescheduled for April
By Leah Nylen | March 22, 2010 6:32 pm

The Senate Judiciary Committee has postponed its oversight hearing with Attorney General Eric Holder, which was scheduled for Tuesday morning.

The hearing was postponed so senators could attend the White House signing ceremony for the health care legislation that Congress cleared this weekend.

UPDATE: The hearing has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 14.

"I don't know how else to get the attention of the nation's top law enforcement official. Either comply with the subpoena or cite the legal privilege that you say keeps you from complying. Until you've done one of of those -- and he hasn't done either -- then, yes, I would proceed with contempt." -- Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) talking about a proposed contempt of Congress citation for Eric Holder.
