Wifredo Ferrer (gov)

Wifredo Ferrer was sworn in as the new U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida Tuesday, The Miami Herald reported ^[2].

U.S. Appeals Judge Stanley Marcus of the 11th Circuit performed the swearing-in at his chambers.

Ferrer, who previously worked as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Miami-based office, clerked for Marcus from 1990 to 1991 when the judge was on the district court bench.

Ferrer replaces acting U.S. Attorney Jeffrey H. Sloman.
