America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), an industry group that represents health insurers, has hired former Justice Department Antitrust official Joseph Miller as general counsel.

From 1998 until August 2010, Miller served in the Antitrust Division at DOJ, where he became Assistant Chief of the Litigation I Section. The Litigation I Section enforces the antitrust laws in a wide variety of industries, including healthcare and insurance markets.

Before joining the DOJ, Miller worked at Collier, Shannon, Rill & Scott (now Kelley Drye & Warren LLP) and as a trial attorney for the Federal Trade Commission. – Daniel Hoffman
