Attorney General Eric Holder will travel to Albuquerque, N.M.this Friday to unveil President Obama’s plan to address violence and drug trafficking on the Southwest border, according to the Justice Department.
The Justice Department said the National Southwest Border Counternarcotics Strategy will be “an important component of the Administration’s response to threats along the border, outlines steps to coordinate and support federal, state and local efforts to reduce the flow of illegal drugs, bulk cash and weapons across the U.S.-Mexico border.”
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and National Drug Control Policy Director Gil Kerlikowske will join him on the trip, the Justice Department said.
