Senate Confirms Nashville U.S. Attorney

Jerry Martin (Barrett, Johnston & Parsley)

The Senate confirmed by voice vote the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee Wednesday night.

Jerry E. Martin was nominated on March 25 to replace President George W. Bush holdover U.S. Attorney Ed Yarbrough. He is a partner at Barrett, Johnston & Parsley. Read more about Martin here.

The Senate now confirmed 48 of President Barack Obama’s U.S. Attorney nominees. The body has yet to consider another 18 would-be U.S. Attorneys who are waiting for votes in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
