Stacia A. Hylton (Northeastern University) was appointed by President Barack Obama on Sept. 20 to become the director the United States Marshals Service. She would replace John Clark, who was named in 2006 by President George W. Bush.

• From 1986 to 1989, was a U.S. Marshals Instructor at the training academy in Glynco, Ga.
• From 1980 to 1986, was Deputy U.S. Marshal.
• Currently earns $105,000 annually as part of her federal retirement salary.

UPDATE: In her Office of Government Ethics form, Hylton reported receiving $112,500 for her consulting services for detention matters, federal relations, and acquisitions and mergers, from March to July 2010.
