Just Anti-Corruption Combines with Global Investigations Review
By Main Justice staff | March 22, 2022 4:36 pm

Dear readers,

After six years of publication, Main Justice is going to hit the pause button on its free Department of Justice coverage, with the aim of relaunching in a few months as a scaled-back blog.

Mary Jacoby

The reason for this change is a very positive development: WDC Media LLC, the publisher of Main Justice, has sold its subscription publication, Just Anti-Corruption, to Law Business Research, a London-based legal publisher. We are excited to join LBR, with its own proud history, and can promise great things to come.

But it will also not surprise our regular readers when we tell you we’ve been reducing the reporting resources devoted to our free Department of Justice coverage for some time.  Just Anti-Corruption, which provides news to law firms and corporate counsel on the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and related anti-corruption enforcement, has paid the bills around here. It’s increasingly become our focus.

Just Anti-Corruption will combine with LBR’s Global Investigations Review publication, and Main Justice founder Mary Jacoby has joined GIR as a consulting editor. Just Anti-Corruption subscribers will continue to have access to our comprehensive FCPA coverage and email digests during this transition period.

It’s been so much fun covering the DOJ these last six years, and we’re proud of the many important stories we’ve been privileged to bring to you.

Please do click here to sign up for an email notifying you when Main Justice relaunches. And we’d love to hear from you - please email Mary with any comments.

The press release announcing the Just Anti-Corruption-Global Investigations Review combination is reprinted below:

The publisher of Global Investigations Review has acquired the assets and editorial team of Just Anti-Corruption, the leading provider of daily news on international anti-corruption enforcement.

Just Anti-Corruption will become a major part of Global Investigations Review. The London and Washington editorial teams will continue to provide compelling daily news and analysis of cross-border government investigations and the lawyers and firms that handle them.

Law Business Research (LBR), an independent, multi award-winning legal publisher, acquired the Washington, DC brand last week. Just Anti-Corruption was founded in 2010 by Mary Jacoby as a subscription publication of WDC Media, which publishes the Main Justice website, devoted to news about the US Department of Justice.

Mary Jacoby will join LBR as consulting editor to Global Investigations Review. “I’m very excited to be joining the dynamic and high-quality editorial operation at Law Business Research,” she said.

Richard Davey, LBR’s managing director, commented: “We are proud to be able to offer our subscribers an enhanced information service by combining with this established and respected editorial brand.”
